Call of Duty has never been known for massive maps, with the Battlefield series more known for its large play areas, but that’s about to change with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – at least in the games new Blackout mode.
Blackout, Call of Duty’s entry into the Battle Royale craze, will feature the largest map ever included in a Call of Duty game. It’s a good job that the map is so big, as 80 players will be able to fight it out across its landscape. But it’s not only other players that you’ll have to contend with, as zombies will roam the lands too.
It won’t be long before you can try out Blackout mode for yourself, with the beta kicking off on September 10. PS4 players will get it firstly, shortly followed by PC and Xbox One. If you’ve already played the multiplayer beta, you’ll be able to jump straight into Blackout.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 arrives October 12 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
