Expansion pass owners of Hitman 2 have now received the first part of the extra content with the Winter Sports Pack, along with a brand new mission set in Hokkaido, Japan. Not only that but owners of Hitman 2 will also get a free trial of the Hokkaido level from Hitman Season 1.
The Winter Sports Pack contains the Winter Sports Suit and 4 brand new items in the inventory; the Quickdraw, Snowball, Piton and Arctic Tool Box. Yes, this means you can now throw a snowball in Miami!
The Winter Sports Pack will be available at no additional cost for owners of the Hitman 2: Expansion Pass or Hitman 2: Expansion Pack 1 and is not currently available for individual sale. You’ll need to download the pack from your platform store and then you’ll find the items in your inventory.
- Quickdraw: Climbing gear which can double as a fiber wire in tight situations.
- Snowball: A ball made of snow. Can be thrown at anyone to really annoy them.
- Piton: Metal spike used for climbing. Sharp enough to use as a lethal weapon.
- Arctic Tool Box: A toolbox for the arctic climate. Can be used to hide illegal items.
- Winter Sports Suit: A tight-fitting, multi-colored thin sweater with matching dark grey cargo pants featuring reinforced knees. Neoprene-laced gloves and a matching canteen ensures you will fit right in at any ski-themed event.
The Snow Festival is a free seasonal event for new and existing Hitman 2 players that includes a new mission in Hokkaido, a new target, the Snow Master Challenge Pack, themed items (including a snowball!) and two new unlocks that can be permanently added to your inventory.
The Snow Festival will be available from January 22nd through February 12 and you’ll need to complete the mission to unlock the Snow Festival Suit and complete all 7 challenges to unlock the lethal Icepick.
The new mission takes place at a freshly decorated Hokkaido location, where your target is Dmitri Fedorov, a former arms dealer with a military past and a degree in structural engineering. Following a failed military career, Dmitri recently survived an explosion at one of his infamously unsafe fireworks factories and is now in recovery at the Hokkaido GAMA Facility, waiting to cash in on the insurance. Unfortunately, 26 of his employees did not survive and the employees who did survive want to make sure that Dmitri doesn’t cash in on anything.
If you’re brand new to Hitman 2, you’ll be pleased to know that you can download and play everything in the Hokkaido Legacy Location (including the Snow Festival) until February 12th. More free stuff for Hitman fans!
