Respawn shares first details of Apex Legends Season Two

Respawn Entertainment have released some details about the upcoming changes to Season 2 of Apex Legends. It’s safe to say that they have taken on community feedback from the lack of excitement around season one, as the time it will take to get to level 100 of season two’s Battle pass will be greatly reduced, alongside better rewards. There will also be daily and weekly challenges which will add a boost to the levelling, very similar to the current Fortnite model.

While we don’t want to introduce wacky challenges that drastically warp the way you play the game, these challenges should provide some interesting variation from game-to-game.”

However, before we get to season two, Tuesday 4th June sees the introduction of a new limited-time event “The Legendary Hunt”. The event features limited time challenges, alongside Rare, Epic and Legendary skins to earn.

Additionally, Respawn is holding a double XP weekend on Friday 7th June until Monday 10th June, coinciding with the opening weekend of the E3 extravaganza. Not only will this give increased XP, but anyone that places top 5 in a match will be rewarded with an entire Battle Pass level once per day. So, hiding will be top of my agenda!

Battle Pass owners will also be getting two free legendary skins. The Legendary Honored Prey R-301 skin and the Wraith Night Terror Legendary skin will be free, although you will need to reach level 15 of the Battle Pass to get the latter.

Full details can be found on the Apex Legends blog.
