Trials Rising gets a Beta and an Expansion Pass

Trials Rising is dropping onto our machines on 26th February and Ubisoft have announced that an Open Beta will be available to play on February 21st through to the 25th. The beta is apparently available on all platforms which means that Nintendo Switch owners will be able to experience the game for the first time. However, at the time of writing there is no option on the official website to register for the Switch version. The official website is the place to keep up with the beta action, as well as the official Twitter account.

The Trials Rising expansion pass has also been announced, which gives players access to the following blocks of content.

  • Expansion I – Trials Rising Sixty Six – Cruise and crash along Route 66 to experience the splendour that is the Land of Opportunity with new tracks and new Contracts. Taking inspiration from one of America’s favourite pastimes, football, this DLC includes items such as a Football Helmet, Shirt, Pants & Cleats so players can cross the finish line as a football player.
  • Expansion II – Trials Rising Crash & Sunburn – Go below the equator to see the wonders of the Southern Hemisphere. Ride your way through the epic jungle-covered mountains of Peru, to the icy region of Antarctica with two new bikes that introduce new gameplay possibilities, challenges and an explorer-themed outfit.
  • Stuntman Rider Pack – Defy the laws of gravity and fly through rings of fire with the Stuntman Rider Pack, where players can don the flashy Stuntman costume and ride the Engraved Retro bike to show everyone that no obstacle is too tough.
  • Samurai Item Pack – Slash through the tracks with the spirits of ancient samurais to guide you, with customization items that will allow players to stand out even more on the tracks.

Trials Rising is the 2019 iteration of Ubisoft’s motorcycle platforming series which combines the core gameplay and over-the-top action of the previous Trials games with all-new features, more competition, and a fresh visual look. Trials Rising is the biggest and most ambitious title in the series to date.

The competitive rags-to-riches experience is designed from the ground up to gently introduce new players to the acclaimed physics-based gameplay. With more tracks than ever before, beginners are in for a smooth ride towards mastery, while the skills and nerves of experienced players will be put to the test in the most advanced challenges.

Competition is all over the globe with fun and elaborate tracks located across several continents. Whether it’s finding the perfect line in a smoldering caldera in the wilds of Yellowstone Park, doing triple backflips off the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or navigating massive drops on Mount Everest with snow storms looming, the thrills are endless. The new map also has integrated community features that show other players’ personal bests, and alerts you if a friend has broken your record or if a new custom track has been shared.

Trials Rising adds an exciting new local multiplayer mode with the Tandem Bike. Two riders, each contributing fifty percent of the power and balance, ride together on one bike. Put your friendships to the test as you coordinate through tight corners, big jumps, and other outlandish obstacles. Get ready for the unexpected and for hilarity to ensue!
