We have had the Xbox One X for a few days now, we’ll some of us have, we asked the team what the first game they played was:

Wolfenstien 2, purely because I am part way through the review, so the difference between the One and the X version will be a great discussion point. New Hitman content is also released on launch day and IO interactive have already stated that the game will also be native 4K on the X.

After that I will be testing both Gears of War 4 and Destiny 2. So far Gears is the one which has thrown down the gauntlet in terms of its awesomeness on the X, so I am looking forward to that experience!

I’m looking forward to playing Wolfenstein 2 – being one of the weird people that doesn’t have a 4K TV yet, I’m looking forward to seeing what the new Xbox will do to improve my experience.

After that I’m going back to Quantum Break and F1 2017.

It was Middle-earth: Shadow of War! I wanted to see if some of the slight performance issues in the base version are ironed out. Plus, I just want to return to Mordor and the surrounding areas. After that, it’ll be replaying games like Gears of War 4, Halo 5 and maybe some Titanfall 2.

Overall, just having a second Xbox in the house will be a huge plus. It being the most powerful console on the market is, well, an absolute bonus.

I’ve been asked this question three times and had six different answers. Those in the running at the current time are: Assassins Creed Origins, Final Fantasy XV, Gears of War 4, Halo 5, Halo Wars 2, Shadow of War, Titanfall 2, The Division, Warframe & Wolfenstien 2. I’m also quite interested to take a look at some games like Fallout 3 and Halo 3 to see what they will look like out of sheer curiosity.

I’m starting to think I should have taken a few days off work to get some quality time with the beast. Some of this will depend on what patches my iffy internet manages to download in time, but, I think the first thing I am going to do on the X is load up Titanfall 2. I’ll do a campaign mission and a quick MP match before heading over to check out Halo Wars 2 and then Gears 4 for the same quick look.
