If you’ve been itching to smash your way through thousands more minions of the forces of Chaos then you’re in luck. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 developer Fatshark has announced the first DLC for the game, known as Shadows Over Bogenhafen.
“We are kicking off the fall with more content to Vermintide 2” says Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. “Last week of August, the players will be invited to Bogenhafen, a city where the Heroes will be tested like never before by Grandfather Nurgle’s unpleasant attentions”
An announcement trailer was also released, although don’t expect to get a great deal from it as it simply reveals that more info will be revealed on August 28.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the world of Warhammer, Bogenhafen is a prosperous market centre that sits at the highest point of the River Bogen that is still navigable by large sailing vessels. Due to this advantageous location, Bogenhafen handled and distributed trade from all parts of the Empire.
Who knows what the DLC will contain? But I’m assuming that you’ll be fighting in the streets of Bogenhafen.
If you’ve yet to play Warhammer: Vermintide 2, here’s a quick run-down. It’s a first-person action game that puts a heavy emphasis on co-op play. It’s set during the apocalyptic End Times of the Warhammer world, pitting you against the endless hordes of Chaos. You can play any of 5 heroes and choose from 15 different careers as you fight through 13 levels.
Check back on August 28 for the full announcement.
