Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th 2019

After a challenging but enjoyable reveal at PAX East, Gearbox have given us a release date of September 13th, a new trailer AND some details about the game. They were also quick to point out that Borderlands 3 is not a Battle Royale game, but a Borderlands game! The box art has also been revealed and it’s a stunner!

As it is a Borderlands game we can expect bazillions of guns, extensive skill trees, deep customization options, and awesome co-op. There are also some new characters to play as. Moze is a nimble soldier who can build a giant mech on the fly, Amara is a Siren brawler who isn’t afraid to throw a punch, whilst Zane incites chaos with crazy gadgets. Rounding up the new quartet is FL4K, the nomad robot with a variety of helpful pets.

In addition to the standard edition of Borderlands 3, there are also two special editions available. The Deluxe Edition includes the base game and five additional bonus packs, chock full of cosmetic goodies, weapon skins (including that gold pack), boost mods, and more. The most hardcore of Vault Hunters can purchase the Super Deluxe Edition. This one includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus the Season Pass, which will deliver four campaign DLC packs featuring new stories, missions, and challenges and a Butt Stallion cosmetic pack, for the ultimate Borderlands 3 experience.

There will also be the usual mountain of guns to experiment with, vehicles to drive and crash, and loads of locations to visit and shoot up. Fans of the franchise are probably feeling a tad excited by this!

Oh, and that box art!
