Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout Battle Royale mode gets a free trial

It has one of the longest game names out there at the moment – Call Of Duty Black Ops 4: Blackout – and it will be going free to play for a week, obviously in order to drive new players to the Battle Royale mode that has been well received. The free trial will run from January 17th to January 24th and will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 review

There have also been some updates to the console versions of the game this week which adds an improved looting interface in Blackout, replacing the movable pointer. Gauntlets and new Elixirs have been added to the Zombies mode on the PS4 version, with Xbox and PC to follow.  These free trials are certainly a way to catch those gamers who are “on the fence” about Call of Duty, such as myself. On one hand I have no interest in COD, but friends have raved about Blackout, so I will be giving it a go this weekend.
