Dark Future: Blood Red States release date announced

Auroch Digital have announced the release date for their long-awaited action strategy game, Dark Future: Blood Red States, as the 16th May 2019. Having just experienced a taste of this strategy game in the Beta, we’re pretty excited to get our hand on the full version in less than a month’s time. And alongside the date announcement is a wonderfully tone appropriate new trailer (see below), as well as a refreshed Steam page.

Featuring explosive carnage, action strategy, and rogue-lite gameplay, it takes the excitement and frenzy of a car combat game and introduces a more tactical element of play. Dark Future: Blood Red States also includes a time-dilating “command mode” which really helps slow the action down long enough to put a wealth of strategies in place, then speed it back up to blisteringly fast and watch your tactics unfold.

The game places you in the role of a highway warrior for hire, taking on contracts and battling against roving gangcults to control the dangerous roads.

Based on the classic 1980s Games Workshop board game of the same name, players are thrown into a bizarre, dystopian world filled with danger, destruction and dark humour.
